It seems like all the stores have lots of after holiday Clearance sales. Maybe that had an abundance of product that they thought would sell and it didn’t.  Maybe their sales weren’t where they needed to be and they want a push in sales to start the year.

Whatever the case, many of us can benefit by the clearance sales after Christmas.

When my boys were younger, it was easy for me to buy them toys for the next birthday and Christmas gifts. I could often get up to 75% off. As a single mom, this was a life saver for me. I certainly didn’t have the extra cash to get them things.

Now my oldest is a senior in high school. My 16 year old is a special needs child that functions at a toddler level. He still plays with toys and I can usually find something for him. Although, he is just as happy with toys from a resale store.

I run a food pantry at my church. We serve around 250 families a month. At Christmas time we try to give a gift to each child in the household that is 12 years old or younger. If I wait until December to buy those gifts, it adds up quick. I try to watch for end of season clearance deals.

I went to Walmart yesterday and hit the jackpot. I found $70 toys for $17-$19. I found $30 toys for $4-$5.  I couldn’t believe all the deals. $0.25 hot wheel cars, $2 Barbie dolls, LOL surprise toys, shopkins, Lego, nerf guns, air hogs, and more.

I did a quick Walmart haul video (see below) just showing what I found and how much I paid. If you see anything you like, maybe check out your local store.

These are great gifts to store away until Christmas if you adopt a family, donate to toys for tots, a homeless shelter, a battered woman’s shelter, gifts for your grandkids or your kids.
