We live in a world full of darkness and confusion. People getting shot. Just this morning there was a police officer shot and killed. Someone that was trying to protect his community is now gone.
Bully’s in schools. I see it first hand on Jacob’s soccer team. I read the players only group chat and see how they are mean to each other.
Bad stuff happens that makes this world seem dark. People get sick. Little kids watch their parents do drugs. Lots of things happen that we just don’t understand.
We have to keep our eyes up. We have to continually refocus outselves. Jesus said in John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
We live in a world of darkness. But we can have hope. There is light no matter how dark life seems. That person that smiled at you when you were having a bad day—there is light. That person that said they were praying for you–there is light.
All of the darkness in this world is temporary. Jesus is light. Jesus is hope. One day soon He is coming back to bring His children home. A home with no darkness, no pain, no sickness, and no death. No hunger & no bills.
Jesus is the only light in the darkness. His light is bright if you will just open your eyes to see it. Let Him be your light. Behold the beauty of His light peeking through the darkness to guide your every step.
